Well achieved people are not the most intelligent or endowed individuals on the planet. They are usually people who are fixated on their goals and ambitions and resolved to see it through. They have just decided that “come what may” they will stay the course. They will finish what the started. This is how we strenthen our resolve and solidify our persistence. Persistence is continuing firmly or obstinately in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
Calvin Coolidge, the 30th US President wrote : Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
