THE 7 STEPS FOR ACHIEVING ANY GOAL

In this article I will present Brian Tracy’s formula for achieving any goal. It is not a magic formula for success or some advice that you have not met before. It’s about 7 simple steps, very efficient, which if you apply them you will be able to achieve almost any goal.

Step 1: Decide exactly what you want.
Clarity is one of the most common qualities of successful people. They know exactly what they want to achieve and always set their goals and are building very clear and detailed plans, leaving nothing to chance. To fulfill your goals, you must first establish who they are and then you build a plan that you are willing to follow him to get what you have proposed.
Stephen Covey says “Before you begin scrambling up the ladder of success, make sure that it is leaning against the right building.”

Step 2: Set your goals in writing.
The goals must be written detailed.
When you write down your goals, your chances to achieve them increases because the energy is transformed into action. Action is movement, and from movement you will get momentum, and momentum is one that will help you advance toward the goal.

Step 3: Establish a deadline.
If you don’t set a deadline to achieve the goal, you’ll have a tendency to postpone, to find all sorts of excuses and reasons for not doing what you need to take your plan to finish and, finally, you will find that in fact you have not accomplished what you’ve wanted, reaching the erroneous conclusion that there is no point for setting goals. You should aim to fulfill your goal up to a certain date.

Step 4: Make a list of activities.
After you have set your goal and you have chosen a deadline, make a list of all the things and activities that you need to take to achieve what you have proposed . This list will help you get an overview of the goal and what you need to do to achieve it. Make a list of all activities, regardless of their complexity and regardless of how long you should assign to each of them.

Step 5: Organize the list into a plan of action.
I’ll quote Brian Tracy saying in one of his programs that “Action Without planning is the cause of Every failure”. To accomplish anything you propose you must move to action, and for that you need a well-established plan.

Step 6: Take action.
This step is probably one of the most important. No matter what you do, but you really need to do something, anything, just act. Taking action is one of the most important factors for achieving success. No matter how clear are the goals that we have set and how detailed are the plans, unless you act, you will not achieve anything.

Step 7: Do something every day for achieving your goal.
This is the key step in this formula. Do something every day that will get you closer to your goal. Do not go even one day without having done at least one thing needed to achieve the major goal that you have set it. If you want to write a book, write a page every day. If you want to save some money when you go shopping quit many insignificant thing and put aside some money every day. If you want to lose weight, run or do sports every day. Whatever you’ve proposed do something every day that will help you achieve your goal.
